You should be able to understand the definitions and features of the different types of PCs used in production systems.
Control PC
The PC responsible for centralized management and control of all production systems, called PD#1 PC (Main PC).
A PC that helps with detailed settings related to video shooting, such as 4DDM, Agent Control (AC), 4DPD, 4DLivePD, and runs programs required for shooting and editing.
Manages Daeomons SWs required for shooting and transmitting 4DReplay & 4DLive videos such as SCd, MTd, EMd, CCd, GCd, PCd, etc.
IP address is x.x.x(odd).2 = internal network / x.x.x(even).2 = external network (see IP address rule below)
Sub Control PC
A PC that assists the Sub in centralized management and control of all Production Systems, called a PD#2 PC (Sub PC).
Relieves the Control PC and Production System workload by enabling simultaneous operation of 4DM, Agent Control (AC), 4DPD, and 4DLivePD programs.
IP address is x.x.x(odd).9 = internal network / x.x.x(even).9 = external network (see IP address rules below)
Pre Storage PCs
The PC where all videos recorded using the PreSd daemon are stored in the first place, i.e. where the original video data is stored.
IP address is x.x.x (odd).3, 4, 5 = internal network / x.x.x (even).3, 4, 5 = external network (see IP address rule below).
Post Storage PCs
The PC where the videos are stored for use in 4DLive using the PostSd daemon, and the PC responsible for transferring them to the AWS 4DRS instance.
The IP address is x.x.x (odd).6, 7, 8 = internal network / x.x.x (even).6, 7, 8 = external network (see IP address rules below).
※ If the number of PreSd PCs increases depending on the situation, the PostSd PC IP address is assigned in a backlog (Ex. x.x.x.7, 8, 9).
Vision Processor PCs
PC using VPd daemon to convert video data into calibration and codec data before sending images to PostSd
The first thing to do is to set the IP address of VPd according to the project characteristics, and if there is no other request, set the IP address as below.
Since the VPd PC is only used for external network, the IP address is x.x.x (even).11, 12, 13, 14... : External network settings (see IP address rules below)
Multimedia Maker PC (Server)
Main PC responsible for integrated storage and transmission of video data after editing (making) using MMd daemon
It is the only one of the PCs that uses the SDI interface to transmit to the station via coaxial cable, and HDMI is limited in length, so it is transmitted to the station monitor via SDI.
IP address is x.x.x(odd number).211 = internal network (see IP address rules below)
Multimedia Maker PC (Client)
Client PC performing the editing process using the MMd daemon (the CMd daemon is also on one of the MMCs).
Installing multiple MMCs is important if you have a large number of cameras or to speed up production, but the speed improvement is negligible beyond a certain number of MMCs.
IP addresses are x.x.x (odd numbers).212/213/214/215 - internal network... (see IP address convention below)
※CMd (Core Module Daemon) is a daemon that allows you to use the Post Stabil function that prevents shaking during editing. Install the CMd daemon on the PC, which is usually the last of the MMCs, and the IP address is the same as the MMC.
