Introduction

4DReferee Introduction

4DReferee utilizes bullet time and time slice technology to assist referees in making crucial decisions during sports events.

By using real-time footage captured from various angles and perspectives, 4DReferee minimizes the occurrence of controversial moments during sports events by quickly capturing crucial moments.

Return to original scale when zoomed in

Turn on the keyboard backlight

Time shifts (rewind or fast forward) in 0.3 or

Rotate the dial to switch angles,

Toggle high and low angles when clicked

Rotate the dial to shift time by one frame
Toggle play and stop on dial clicks


Application

Enter Server IP Address

When you start the 4DReferee app, you need to enter the Server IP to be connected.


Onboarding Guide

A brief user guide is shown after the application is launched.
The guide can be skipped simply by tapping the ‘Get Started’ button.

Live View Mode

Live View Mode

After the app is fully launched, a live screen is displayed. You can access the screen's help guide by tapping the question mark button at the bottom.


Live View Mode Help

While in Live View Mode, you'll find several available options.
You can swipe to adjust the camera angle, employ pinch gestures to zoom in and enlarge the screen, and switch the camera level between low and high, or vice versa.
To enter Instant Video Replay (IVR) mode, simply tap the 'Start IVR' tab.


IVR Mode

Allow Access to Screen Record

When utilizing the IVR (Instant Video Replay) mode within the app, screen recording must be enabled.

To activate this feature, please tap the 'Start Now' option on the pop-up message, granting access for screen recording.


IVR Mode

Upon receiving a video replay request, simply tap the “Start IVR” button to activate the IVR mode. Once in this mode, control icons will be displayed, granting you access to 15 to 60 minutes of recorded action upon the request is made. For any inquiries or assistance needed while in IVR mode, just tap the question mark button to access the help guide.


IVR Mode Help

In IVR Mode, apart from the basic operations mentioned earlier, you can utilize the jog-dial to view the video frame by frame, adjust the playback speed, and simultaneously view two video channels. Once you've carefully reviewed the footage, you can then tap the ‘Decision’ button to finalize your judgment.

Upon tapping the "Decision" button, you can choose the IVR review result by confirming your selection.


2-Channel Mode

While in the 2-Channel mode, you can compare two distinct video angles or levels simultaneously. Furthermore, a Picture-in-Picture (PIP) display of the scoreboard is available at the bottom of the screen. If you require assistance or guidance while utilizing the 2-Channel mode, just tap the question mark button at the bottom to access the help guide.


2-Channel Mode help

In the 2-Channel mode, you have access to the same functionalities as the Single Channel mode. Switching between different camera angles or levels is effortless – just tap the screen to make your selection.

Once you've chosen your desired view and reviewed the footage, you can finalize your decision by tapping the ‘Decision’ button.


Tab to Stop IVR

Once you have finished making all the judgments, you can simply tap the ‘Stop IVR’ button to switch back to Live View mode.


Settings

1. Jog-dial Sensitivity

This option allows you to fine-tune the amount of movement using a single dial action, ranging from a minimum of 15 to 60 frames.


2. Set Step Forward/Backward

Within this option, you can modify the time frame interval for movement by tapping an arrow.


3. Show/Hide Display Settings

Within this option, you can choose whether to show or conceal the channel, frame, and playback speed controls.


4. Select the Screen Size for IVR 1CH Mode PIP

Within this option, you can select the size of the Picture-in-Picture (PIP) screen.


5. Select the Camera for PIP Screen

Within this option, you can choose the channel for the Picture-in-Picture (PIP) screen. If the default PIP screen is not working correctly, you can opt for a backup channel.


6. Video Clip Duration Available for START IVR

Within this option, you can modify the duration of the video clip recorded in IVR mode. You have the flexibility to set the clip's duration for a minimum of 15 minutes up to a maximum of 60 minutes before the moment the video assist call was initiated.


7. Internal Storage

This option shows the storage details of the recorded ‘IVR Mode’ video clips.

By selecting this option, you can access the internal storage where the videos are stored.


8. Onboarding Guide

You can access the user guide again from the splash screen.

9. Version Info

Software version information.

10. Disconnect

Disconnect from the server.
