Explains what you need to check before starting the 4DReplay & 4DLive service in the field.

Checking Network Status

When the venue construction is completed, the first thing to do is check the network connection status of the devices before operating the 4DReplay & 4DLive service. In 4DDM, the connection status of devices such as camera, PC, and Switch is all green, indicating that the connection is normal.

  • If there is a device whose status is not green, proceed with the ping test to the IP of the device
(see the Main Ping Test section below for details on the ping test method)

  • If the ping connects normally, but does not turn green, check the Daemon activation (see the Daemon Activation section below for details on how to check
    the Daemon Activation)

Camera Property Adjustment

After checking the connection status of the network device, it is necessary to check whether the camera's focus, color, and exposure are set correctly, uniformly, and appropriately for each sports environment. When setting up a pre-venue, if the camera is focused on through the Live View or Direct Monitor connection, check whether the camera properties are consistent or require individual adjustments in the software step. Then, proceed to adjust the camera property of the 4DDM Tab as needed.

  • Identify in advance which aspects should be standardized and which should be adjusted based on the characteristics of the camera’s position, and make the necessary modifications accordingly(for details in the step of adjusting the camera properties, refer to the Camera Property section above)

  • Once the camera property settings for the entire venue to be photographed are completed, click the Property Save button at the top of the Camera Property View to recommend saving the property information (use the Load button to load the property information afterwards)

Calibration

Calibration is an essential prerequisite before you commencing video editing. Before starting the operation, it is necessary to verify if calibration data is registered or whether calibration settings are correctly figured. Calibration is performed using the calibration function loacted in the 4DDM Tab.

For additional details, please refer to the following link https://4dreplay.atlassian.net/l/cp/FyRKMWgk

  • Click the Record button to simultaneously capture images from all cameras facing the reference bar (All data related to calibration : C:\4DReplay\Calibration)

  • Select the Calibration Type of 2D or 3D or 2D + Position Tracking on the photographed image and set the Point to the desired point (refer to the https://4dreplay.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/4P/pages/1705379349/ENG+4DDM+Calibration#Step-of-Calibration section for the steps to set the Point according to the Calibration Type)

  • After completing all calibration procedures, launch the 4DPD program to initiate 4DREPLAY Services
